The series of Prince of Persia games that I really enjoyed were the trilogy from the PS2 era, Sands of Time, Warrior Within and The Two Thrones. Prince of Persia is actually one of the biggest game franchises as it has been around for decades and has had countless releases.Īs a matter of fact, if it had not been for that less than great movie starring Jake Gyllenhaal the series might still be going to this day! You really do start to care for Ellie, so much that you are willing to do whatever it takes to keep her alive. Playing as Joel who is escorting a teenage girl called Ellie for a friend because she is humanities last hope of fighting off a plague that has destroyed the world. Of all the games on this list, I would say that The Last of Us is the game that stuck with me for the longest time after I had beaten it. While I had a fun time playing through The Last of Us from a gameplay point of view it is the story that really blew me away. There is shooting, stealth sections, crafting and much more all in this game. I would say gameplay wise, The Last of Us is a lot more slower and methodical than Tomb Raider, but this is only until something goes wrong and then the poop hits the fan and the game becomes super intense. Of course, when you do a games list like this you are going to have the Uncharted series on there, but I am sure that if you loved Tomb Raider, you would love The Last of Us. Really sucks that this game sold so poorly that Namco shelved the idea of a sequel. The dynamic between Monkey and Trip is fantastic and at the time Trip was one of my favorite support characters in a game. Enslaved: Odyssey to the West is a fun game to play, but I found the story was what really hooked me. Monkey has a lot of moves at his disposal and the way that he is so athletic does make him a bit like Lara Croft. The gameplay is that of a 3rd person action game. The story is great and it is one of the earlier games that really put the story at the forefront of the game. You play as a guy called Money, who needs to help Trip get back home. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic world that was torn to shred by machines, the world has since been taken back by mother natures, but the machines remain. Released back in 2010, Enslaved: Odyssey to the West is one of those games that was ignored by many but loved by those who spent time with it. Here is a real gem of a game that sadly never got the attention that it deserved. These at the time were very fun games and I think that they are well worth a play through. The one that featured Legend, Anniversary and Underworld. Which is a far cry from her being mainly known for being “hot” and having big boobs back in the PlayStation 1 days.īefore we get to the games like Tomb Raider list I want to give special mention to the second Tomb Raider reboot. She is an amazing character who is strong, badass and willing to stand up for what is right in the world. What I have really enjoyed about this new Tomb Raider trilogy is the more realistic approach to Lara Croft. Tomb Raider is a series that many other games take inspiration from. I still believe that this reboot (which is technically the second reboot) of the Tomb Raider franchise is one of the best that has ever been done.Ĭoming up with this list is actually pretty easy as back in the 90’s, then in the early 00’s and now. Even though I have not managed to finish Lara’s latest adventure in Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
